Knowing how rare it is for foster children to own their own books, Lynda began and is the administrator of “Book Train for Kids” which helps collect and distribute books to foster children.
Lynda Mullaly Hunt taught both third grade and sixth grade for almost ten years. She is also a former Future Problem Solvers Scenario Writing coach. Although she is now a full-time writer, she still misses being in the classroom.
Lynda is proud to be a contributing author to BREAK THESE RULES (Chicago Review Press) an anthology of first-person accounts from leading authors for teens (including Sara Zarr, Kathryn Erskine, A. S. King and Gary Schmidt, and many others), from which all royalties will be donated to the Children's Defense Fund.
